After some teasers and a lot of anticipation, behold, the new generation Mercedes-Benz CLS, whose official and world presentation is scheduled for next Wednesday, ends up appearing, ahead of time, on the Internet. Fully confirming the beauty of the lines that the images and development units disclosed so far have already hinted at. And the maintenance of the CLS name is also confirmed, after rumors that it was called CLE.
In fact, and on the photos now published, they confirm not only the option for a front grille that does not hide the many points of contact with the current solution, present in the generation still on sale, but also the new luminous signature, which had already been revealed in the latest teaser released by the manufacturer. Truly new and made known for the first time are the lines of the front bumper, clearly inspired by those of the Mercedes-AMG GT R.
As for the profile, it's basically a return to the origins, with the arched and uninterrupted waistline of the first CLS, while at the rear, it is perhaps the aspect that should generate the most discussion, due to the shape of the rear optics.
CLS new, but with E-Class “decalcable” cabin
Finally, and already inside the cabin, the images that have now appeared confirm what was already suspected — it's the same interior as the E-Class. With a huge digital screen extending across the dashboard, integrating not only the instrument panel, but also also the infotainment system screen. A solution to which the four turbine-like air vents in the center of the center console are added, as well as a new-design steering wheel.
Once the lines have been unveiled, it now remains to wait for the release of the benefits and other data, which should happen at the official presentation of the model, tomorrow, at the opening of the Los Angeles Motor Show, USA. A time when, then, yes, we will get to know, in depth, the new generation of the most beautiful of the four-door Mercedes coupés until now.
