The new DS 7 Crossback is more than just an avant-garde look. The new "flagship" of the French brand introduces new technologies and a hybrid engine with 300 hp of power.
The DS 7 Crossback is the French brand's first foray into the SUV's segment, which says a lot about the importance of this new model for the brand.
On the outside, one of the highlights is undoubtedly the new luminous signature, which the French brand dubbed Active LED Vision. This signature is made up of daytime running lights, progressive indicators for changing direction and, at the rear, a three-dimensional treatment in the shape of scales, as can be seen in the images.
Inside, the DS 7 Crossback La Première debuts a pair of 12-inch screens, which concentrate navigation, multimedia and connectivity functions, among others. In addition, this model also brings a set of Connected Pilot, Night Vision and Active Scan Suspension equipment, available in all versions of the range.
300 hp hybrid engine with all-wheel drive
The range of engines – for this first edition – comprises the two most powerful engines in the range, the blocks Blue HDi with 180 hp and THP with 225 hp , both associated with the new eight-speed automatic transmission. Later, the blocks will also be available. 130hp BlueHDi, 180 hp THP and 130hp PureTech.On the other hand, the ambition to offer a hybrid or electric version in all DS models is getting closer and closer to reality. This is because the brand will develop a E-Tense hybrid engine, available only from spring 2019, with 300 hp, 450 Nm of torque, 4-wheel drive and 60 km range in 100% electric mode.
