THE Opel Grandland X it has not yet started sales in our country — it was previously announced for the first quarter of this year, which has already passed — due to our absurd toll law. But “out there”, the SUV of the German brand sees its arguments reinforced, with the arrival of a new engine.
Intended to replace the already old 1.6 Diesel 120 hp, the new four-cylinder 1.5 l announces a power of 130 hp and 300 Nm of torque , as well as, when combined with a six-speed manual transmission, consumption in the order of 4.1-4.2 l/100 km.
When coupled to the eight-speed automatic transmission, the same block points to averages in a combined path of 3.9-4.0 l/100 km. In other words, a 4% reduction, compared to the consumption of the 1.6 Diesel.
This new 1.5 Diesel will join the well-known and more powerful 2.0 l 180 hp turbodiesel already available on the Grandland X, thus allowing Opel to offer two engines already complying with the Euro 6d-Temp standard.
