The Motorclássico Salon, organized by Museu do Caramulo in partnership with FIL (Fairs, Congresses and Events), took place last weekend and had more than 180 exhibitors, including thematic exhibitions dedicated to the centenary of BMW and 70 years of the Wasp.

As this is a show dedicated to the history of the automobile, there is no lack of relics such as the 1937 Rolls-Royce Phantom III, donated by the Presidency of the Republic to the Caramulo Museum and which transported Queen Isabel II and General Eisenhower, among other historical figures, in the his visits to Portugal, as well as a 1971 Lamborghini Miura – of which only 150 were manufactured.

When taking stock of this year's edition, according to Salvador Patrício Gouveia, a member of the Salão Motorclássico organization, I concluded:

A very positive dynamic was generated, which confirms the vitality of the world of classics in Portugal and its enormous growth potential. The market is in good shape and good deals were made, confirming that the passion for classics is alive. There is great enthusiasm, both on the part of old collectors and new fans, and this energy is a stimulus for us.
