The Renault Mégane GT dCi 165 offers more performance without sacrificing fuel consumption.
Obviously, the biggest difference between the Mégane GT dCi 165 and the TCe 205 is the 1.6 liter diesel engine, with two turbos, which we already know from other Renaults like the Talisman and the Espace. It delivers 165 hp and 380 Nm of maximum torque at 1750 rpm.
The turbos, of different sizes, work in sequence, with the smaller (and inertia) operating at low speeds and the larger one coming into action at higher speeds.
The 165 hp is capable of launching the Mégane dCi 165 up to 100 km/h in 8.9 seconds, surpassing the first kilometer in 29.9 seconds. 214 km/h is the maximum speed.
As with the TCe 205, the dCi 165 also comes equipped with the EDC six-speed dual-clutch gearbox, which can be operated via paddles on the steering wheel. The performance achieved contrasts with the average – official – consumption of just 4.6 and 4.7 l/100 km, respectively car and van.

Otherwise, the Mégane GT dCi 165 doesn't differ from the GT TCe 205. Sportier styling, 18-inch alloy wheels, and also the 4Control system. This system allows the rear wheels to turn as well, enhancing, on the one hand, agility, and on the other, stability at higher speeds, with the rear wheels turning in the same direction as the front wheels.
The interior is also exactly the same as the GT we already know, where the “bacquet” type front seats covered in leather and Alcantara, the leather sports steering wheel and the pedals in aluminum stand out.
The R-Link 2 system is also present, which integrates Multi-Sense, that is, the possibility to select different driving modes – Comfort, Neutral and Sport -, and which includes Perso, which allows us to store our personal preferences .
The Mégane GT dCi 165 is now available from €35400 for the saloon and €36300 for the Sport Tourer, and like all Mégane, comes with a 5-year warranty.
