This is the renewed BMW X6. After 250,000 units sold and 7 years later, the SUV Coupé from the Bavarian brand now appears with a new face and interior.
After its introduction in 2008 the BMW X6 has changed little, but it has now been completely overhauled. With a completely new exterior and in line with BMW's new design line, the X1 update is just missing to complete the renovation. Despite this change, the lines remain and even from a distance the BMW X6 remains easy to identify.

The new interior has, of course, the influences of its brethren very present. The new 10.25-inch multimedia screen is now protruding from the dashboard instead of embedded in it. The interior quality has been improved, now with more luxurious details and where the skin does not go unnoticed.
The coupé-inspired design didn't sacrifice the space of the rear seats, which can easily accommodate a 1.85m adult. At least in numbers, styling is more than ever in tune with versatility (an always tough game): with seats folding down 40:20:40, which increases luggage capacity from 580 liters to 1525 liters, we found 75 liters more than in the previous version.

5 engines are available, 2 petrol and 3 diesel. The entry-level will be the BMW X6 35i, with a 6-cylinder engine and 306hp. The most powerful of the gasoline, the BMW X6 50i, has a V8 block and 450hp. Able to reach 100Km/h in just 4.8 seconds, it will be the most radical proposal yet.
In Portugal, it will be in diesel engines that the BMW X6 will continue to triumph. Here, we find the «spare little» BMW X6 30d, with 258hp taken from its 6-cylinder in-line block. The 40d will have 313hp, while the more «crazy» M50d has a 6-cylinder tri-turbo engine and delivers a brave 381hp.

All blocks are associated with an 8-speed automatic transmission and the xDrive traction system to optimize traction (if you need to plow some land…). The chassis has several adjustments, and like the rest of the range, it has Dynamic and Comfort modes available. The BMW X6 M50d features the adaptive M suspension as standard, designed for sportier use.
As it is a BMW, extras abound. Adaptive LED lights, keyless vehicle access, multimedia system with touchpad (which allows you to enter letters or numbers, drawing them) are the order of the day. In sound, Bang & Olufsen gives a helping hand with one of the best high-end sound systems on the market. Options such as HeadUp Display, autonomous parking system, 360° cameras and night vision (for off-duty secret agents) also take place.
RUMORS: The Skoda Coupé Could Be Like This
Dynamic Light Spot also appears as an option. This new system allows driving with the main beams turned on on roads with poor visibility without disturbing the driver in front or anyone traveling in the opposite direction. What the system does is only illuminate the areas surrounding the vehicles.

Sales of the new BMW X6 will officially start in December, although still only in the 30d, 50i and M50d versions. The remaining versions (35i and 40d) will hit the market in spring. Unfortunately, there are still no commercial prices, we just have to keep the videos and the image gallery.
