Small, quiet and easy to drive. All qualities that we usually associate with Smart… except when they are prepared by Brabus.
Launched just over a year ago, the Brabus versions for the Smart ForTwo, ForTwo Cabrio and ForFour have added a slightly sportier style and also more power (109 hp), compared to the 71 hp and 90 hp standard options.
Now, the German preparer has raised the bar and developed the limited edition Brabus Ultimate 125. The increase in power – which allows extracting 125 hp from the small 898 cc three-cylinder engine – makes the sprint up to 100 km/h to be completed in just 9.2 seconds, before reaching 175 km/h top speed.
Another new feature is the sports exhaust system with electronically controlled butterfly valve, a system similar to that found in the Mercedes C450 AMG 4Matic. With a simple push of a button it is possible to switch to "bragging" mode. If not see:
All this pays for dearly. Very expensive. The Brabus Ultimate 125 is on sale in Germany for €57,760, more than the entry-level version of a Porsche 718 Cayman on the German market (!).
