What is the difference between a hypercar and a supercar?

BHP Project placed a hypercar next to a supercar. The chosen models were the Koenigsegg One:1 and the Audi R8 GT. See the result...

If you've ever wondered how far a hypercar performs better than a supercar, then this video is for you.

On one side is the Koenigsegg One:1. It owns a dizzying 1341 hp, making it the most powerful car today. The One:1 got its name because it has 1 horsepower per kilogram. We can't consider it a production car as only 7 models were manufactured and the version we see in the video doesn't show the total power that this hypercar has to offer us. The use of regular gasoline and a problem in steering alignment are the reasons given, deducting 181 hp from its maximum power.

As for the powertrain, all the power of the Koenigsegg One:1 comes from a 5.0 liter V8 bi-turbo engine, mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

Instead of a supercar we find the Audi R8 GT, which, in the video, is equipped with an “honest” 560hp as well as some modifications to make it lighter. Who will win?

The Koenigsegg One:1 reached a top speed of 354km/h (the driver stopped accelerating), while the Audi R8 GT stayed at a more modest 305km/h. The clash of these warriors took place at the VMax200 event in Bruntingthorpe, UK.
