The date is already confirmed. The new Hyundai Santa Fe will be officially unveiled at the New York Auto Show in March. The announcement has just been made by the manufacturer itself, accompanied by two teasers that already show what we can expect from the fourth generation of the South Korean SUV.
In a statement, Hyundai promises, for the new Santa Fe, a striking design, "based on a robust composition, elegant, and with a strong presence on the road", which should "reflect Hyundai's new SUV identity".
Cascading grill is starting point for the new Hyundai Santa Fe
In the images now released, it is possible to see the already traditional cascading grille, accompanied by front lighting in two sections, which give it a more distinct and modern look — by the way, a solution already found on the Hyundai Kauai. On the side, the highlight goes to the descending roofline that extends to the rear lights.
At the back, the slender taillights starting at the sides and following the waistline are the main highlight. Also note the robust bumper flanked by two metallized exhaust pipes, lateralizing a lower protection plate, also metallized. Now we can wait for the final design, to see if the model will be as promising as the sketches advertise...
