Successor to the McLaren 675LT in Geneva?

Is the British brand preparing a new sports car similar to the already sold out McLaren 675LT? Confirmations only next month, during the Geneva Motor Show.

It seems that McLaren will continue to produce sports cars with "stock" limited to a few units. The new bet of the brand based in Woking, UK, will be an upgrade to the already sold out McLaren 675LT and will be dubbed the “688”. Due to its twin-turbo 3.8l V8 engine, the horsepower has undergone significant improvements, now dropping 688hp (which corresponds to the model name, as with the 675LT).

In addition to being more powerful, the successor to the McLaren 675LT should be lighter, thanks to the use of carbon fiber in its construction. For now, there are no details about the diet, nor what your final weight will be. Aesthetically, a rear wing will be added to reinforce downforce on the rear axle and some improvements to the interior of the sports car.

Apparently, McLaren bet strong and ugly on the exclusivity of this model: it will be limited to just 25 units, all of them in the coupé version. In the future, a Spider version of the sports car won't be out of the question.
