This Dacia Duster Widebody, "steroid" version, has to happen

After some time ago showing how to make the grille of the BMW M4 more conventional, Prior Design has now decided to imagine a much more aggressive and sporty Dacia Duster.

The result was the Duster Widebody Concept , which the tuning company revealed on its Facebook page and in a YouTube video and which, at the moment, only exists in the virtual world.

For a start, compared to the other Dusters, this prototype is noticeably shorter, leaving behind any adventurous instincts, and has adopted larger wheels that “wear” tires much wider than those we usually see on Dacia Dusters.

As for the designation "Widebody" (wide body), it is quite easy to see why it was adopted. In line with Prior Design's tradition, the wide use of fiber panels allowed the Duster to be widened (a lot), giving it a look that would not clash with any other WRC or rallycross car.

What else changes?

Interestingly, the least altered section of the Dacia Duster Widebody Concept is the front. The grille and headlights are identical to those normally used by the Romanian SUV and only the bumper with a more aggressive look — much wider to make the connection with the fender flares — does justice to the greater sportiness of this concept.

At the rear, in addition to a spoiler, this Duster Widebody Concept presents itself with a new bumper, highlighting an expressive diffuser and two “bazookas” as exhaust outlets.

For now, we don't know if Prior Design plans to produce the Dacia Duster Widebody Concept or if this is just an exercise in style. Even so, when we saw this super-Duster, we soon began to imagine what it would be like if it “borrowed” the engine from the Renault Mégane R.S..
