Equipped with the same V8 with 5.0 l used, for example, by the more powerful versions of the Range Rover Sport and Jaguar F-Type, the Defender V8 presents itself with 525 hp and 625 Nm, which are sent to all four wheels through a box. automatic of eight relations.

As you'd expect, Land Rover didn't just offer more power to the Defender V8. The connections to the ground were improved so that its dynamic behavior is in line with the performance allowed by the 525 hp.

To start with, the famous “Terrain Response” system has gained yet another mode, called “Dynamic” which improves throttle response and increases the firmness of continuously variable dampers.
At the same time, Land Rover offered the Defender V8 thicker stabilizer bars, firmer suspension bushings, 20” brake discs and a new electronic active rear differential. This last item has a system called "Yaw Controller" that allows a more precise control of the Defender V8's behavior in corners.

By now, you've probably realized that the new Land Rover Defender V8 isn't exactly like its “range brothers”.
In this way, in addition to the specific logos, we have four exhaust outlets, 22” wheels finished in the “Satin Dark Grey” color and the front brake calipers are painted in the “Xenon Blue” color.
In addition, the body color options are limited to just three: “Carpathian Grey”, “Yulong White” and “Santorini Black”, to which the “Narvik Black” roof is always added. Inside, the main innovations are the chrome gearshift paddles and the steering wheel lined with Alcantara instead of the traditional leather.

In addition to revealing the new Defender V8, Land Rover took the opportunity to slightly update the range of its more adventurous model. Thus, Defender now has a 11.4” screen (60% larger than the standard offered) for the Pivi Pro system and received an induction charging system for the smartphone.

Returning to the Land Rover Defender V8, at the moment the British brand has not revealed when it will hit the market. Prices, according to Autocar, start in the UK at 98,505 pounds (113 874 euros) for the 90 version and 101,150 pounds (116 932 euros) for the 110 version.
