Unveiled at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, in the United States of America, last year, the Bugatti Centodieci is getting closer and closer to production.
Not only was it a reference to the brand's 110th anniversary — the brand was founded in 1909 — but also to the Bugatti EB110 that served as an inspiring muse, the Centodieci will be limited in production to just 10 units, and of course, all of them are already sold.
Each one will have a price starting at eight million euros (tax free) and one of them belongs to Cristiano Ronaldo. As for the delivery date of the first units, this should start in 2022.

The birth of this first prototype allows Bugatti engineers to test the various components of the Centodieci and obtain data for computer simulations.

In the future, the French brand will produce a bodywork to carry out more simulations and to test the aerodynamic solutions in the wind tunnel, and within a few months the tests should start on track.
Regarding the “birth” of this prototype, Andre Kullig, technical manager of one-off projects at Bugatti, stated “I was very excited for the first prototype of the Centodieci”.
Still on the development of the Centodieci, Kullig, who was involved in the development of La Voiture Noire and Divo stated: “With the new bodywork, there are changes in many areas that we had to simulate using special computer programs. Based on the data, we were able to establish a basic configuration as a starting point for serial development and the first prototype”.
Although the development of the Bugatti Centodieci is still in its embryonic stage, there are some data on the new model from the Molsheim brand that are already known.
For example, despite having the same W16 with four turbos and 8.0 l as the Chiron, the Centodieci will have another 100 hp, reaching 1600 hp. About 20 kg lighter than the Chiron, the Centodieci reaches 100 km/h in 2.4s, 200 km/h in 6.1s and 300 km/h in 13s. The maximum speed is limited to 380 km/h.
