Ford guarantees that this return to competition will lead to the development of new technologies aimed at the brand's road models. Many of these innovations may include the aerodynamics and evolution of EcoBoost engines, as well as an evolution in the application of materials such as carbon fiber.

Underneath the bonnet is an engine adaptation of the road version of the Ford GT, the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 twin-turbo block. On the exterior, there were many changes, designed to prepare the Ford GT for the challenges of a competition event: aerodynamic modifications, which include a large rear wing, a new front diffuser and new side exhausts.

Next year Ford celebrates 50 years of victory at Le Mans followed by three more (1967, 1968 and 1969). Stay with an official video and image gallery of the competition version of the Ford GT.
