Cold Start. Watch (and hear) the Lexus LFA extinguish the 10 candles on your birthday cake

THE Lexus LFA it was Lexus' first supercar and one of the rare Japanese supercars, and it must also have been the longest-developing car ever to hit the market.

Development began in 2000 — the TXS project — we saw the first prototype in 2005, followed by two more in 2007 and 2008, and in the last quarter of 2009 we saw the final production model. But production itself — 500 units in total — wouldn't start until the end of 2010!

That's how the LFA won over all those who had the privilege of conducting it.

The piece of resistance? Its 4.8 l atmospheric V10 with 560 hp reached at 8700 rpm! Still, many say, the best soundtrack to equip any car…
