If you're fans of the Furious Speed saga, you can certainly remember seeing Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) jump from one skyscraper to another with a W Motors Lykan Hypersport , in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates.

Well then, one of the ten Lykan Hypersports used in Fast & Furious 7 is getting ready to go up for auction on May 11th — via the RubiX portal — and the maximum sale estimate is around two million euros.

When it was first launched, the Lykan Hypersport was the third most expensive production car in the world and one of the most exclusive, as only seven were manufactured.

However, this one carries even more history, as it was the only “survivor” of the ten cars that the Furious Speed team used for the big action scene of the seventh title in the saga.

But if only seven copies of Lykan Hypersport were made, how were ten used in the filming of the movie Fast & Furious 7? Well, the answer is actually quite simple.

Only seven copies of the Lykan HyperSport were built.

W Motors, the company that manufactures this hyper sports car, is based precisely in Dubai, despite having been founded in Beirut, capital of Lebanon.

Now, with this saga visiting the most famous of the UAE, W Motors saw here the perfect opportunity to expose its Lykan Hypersport to the world, having created, for this purpose, ten cars.

However, they were built with cheaper materials (fiberglass instead of carbon fiber, for example) and are technically simpler, as they would only be used during filming.

Only one of the 10 survived the demanding filming and it is precisely this copy that is now up for auction.

Remember that the Lykan Hypersport is powered by a twin-turbo six-cylinder opposite engine with a capacity of 3.75 liters. This block was developed and supplied by RUF, a well-known German preparer, and produces 791 hp (582 kW) of power at 7100 rpm and 960 Nm of maximum torque at 4000 rpm.

These numbers are enough to push this exotic hypersport from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8s and up to 395 km/h of maximum speed (depending on the installed transmission ratio), records that — together with the short career in Hollywood — help to explain the millions this auction can yield.
