Talking about the history of Mercedes-Benz is talking about the 190 (W201) , a model that enjoys a unanimity that few cars can boast about. Innovative in terms of technology and design, it ended up asserting itself for its comfort and durability.
The stories of examples of the Mercedes-Benz 190 (W201) with several hundred thousand kilometers are many and help to cultivate the image that this car is indestructible. But now, it is known that there is for sale a copy of the 190 with less than 20 thousand kilometers and in a truly immaculate condition, almost as if it had just left a brand's dealership.
The Mercedes-Benz 190 is far from being a rare car, as in its 11 years of life more than 1.8 million copies have been sold. But even so, this 1992 model promises to attract several interested parties to the "conversation", since 20 thousand kilometers was what any Mercedes-Benz 190 of the time covered in the first months.
The example in question — which is for sale on the Car & Classic portal — is a 190E model, equipped with a 1.8-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine that produced 109 hp.

Originally purchased in Guernsey, an island in the UK, this Mercedes-Benz 190E features an arctic white finish that contrasts with a blue-lined cabin.
According to those responsible for the sale, the interior still “smells like new” and even has the original factory stickers. The plastics in the interior maintain the original color and are scratch-free, as are the exterior shields, the wheels and the chrome of the front grille. It also preserves the tool kit with which it was sold and keeps all the original documentation with the history of the interventions it has undergone over the last 29 years.
Despite the recognized mechanics of the “Baby-Benz”, the condition of this model requires further explanation. It's just that in addition to having been used very sparingly, as the low mileage suggests, this 190E only knew one family and was always kept in a warm garage and covered with a cover as it was supplied with the car itself.
Sold without reservation and for a price that at the time of publication of this article is fixed at 11 000 GBP, something like 12 835 euros, this could very well be one of the Mercedes-Benz 190Es with the lowest mileage in the world. The auction ends on March 14th.
