A group of French enthusiasts gave new life to this “Pão de Forma”. Left to the mercy of time for more than four decades.
The story is not new, but it continues to fascinate any car enthusiast. A classic abandoned for several decades that later comes to be found. Anyway, history repeats itself...This was the case of this young Frenchman, who, upon learning of the existence of a «Pão de Forma» lost in a forest in the French Alps, did not think twice and decided to embark on a true «treasure hunt». And in good time he did.
Alone and abandoned at the bottom of a valley, this 1955 Volkswagen Type 2 (first generation) was stuck next to a tree, beneath all the rust, moss and cobwebs. Unable to remove "Pão de Forma" from its place, the young man decided to ask a group of friends for help.

Together, they were looking for all the necessary components to put “Pão de Forma” back on track: tires, brakes, fuel tank, electrical system and a new engine. In the end, it was all worth it.
