Already happened. The Stig drove the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series on the Top Gear track

Anonim

King of the Nürburgring, the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series has now been put to the test on a track that despite having much less history than “Inferno Verde” rivals this one in popularity: the Top Gear track.

The pilot chosen for the occasion was, none other than the “habitual resident” of that space, the famous Stig.

Along the short video we can see how the Stig didn't spare the most powerful member of the AMG family by systematically putting him to “walk sideways” in long and showy rear-end drifts.

And while it is true that this was not, in all likelihood, the fastest lap on the Top Gear track, it is no less true that it must have been one of the most eye-catching.

In total it has 730 hp between 6700 and 6900 rpm and 800 Nm available between 2000 and 6000 rpm extracted from a 4.0 V8 biturbo (the M178 LS2). All of this allows the GT Black Series to reach 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 3.2s, reach 200 km/h in less than nine seconds and reach a top speed of 325 km/h.

Taking these numbers into account, it is not surprising that the flashy Mercedes-AMG model managed to cover the 20.832 km (which already includes the 232 m of the short straight in the T13 section of the circuit) in just 6min48.047s.
