After having received a software update a few months ago that gave it more autonomy, the Jaguar I-PACE it was once again subject to improvements.

This time, the focus was on improving not only the loading time but also the technological offer of the SUV that was named World Car of the Year 2019 and International Car of the Year 2019 (COTY).

Finally, in the aesthetics chapter, the only new features of the Jaguar I-PACE are the new colors and the new 19” wheels.

Technology on the rise

Starting with the reinforcement at the technological level, the Jaguar I-PACE presents itself with the new Pivi Pro infotainment system.

Already used by the new Land Rover Defender, this system was inspired by smartphones and uses two touch screens, one with 10” and the other with 5”. The digital instrument panel measures 12.3”.

As for connectivity, the I-PACE has a dual SIM integrated with a free 4G data plan.

The I-PACE also now has a cabin air ionization system with PM2.5 filtration to retain ultra-fine particles and allergens.

Still in the technological field, the British SUV has Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth as standard, can be equipped with a smartphone charger by induction and even received a new 3D Surround camera that provides a 360º panoramic view.

Finally, it's time to tell you about the biggest new feature of the Jaguar I-PACE magazine: the reduction in charging time.

This was achieved thanks to the standard incorporation of an 11 kW on-board charger for

that it is possible to access three-phase sockets.

Thus, with an 11 kW three-phase wall or wallbox charger, it is possible to recover and recharge 53 km* of autonomy (WLTP cycle) per hour, completing the charge from zero in just 8.6 hours.

With a 7 kW single-phase wall charger, it is possible to recover up to 35 km per hour, achieving full charging after 12.75 hours.

Finally, the 50 kW charger restores up to 63 km of autonomy in 15 minutes, and the 100 kW charger provides up to 127 km in the same time.

With the exception of this reduction in loading time, the I-PACE was otherwise identical. Thus, power continues to be fixed at 400 hp and 696 Nm and autonomy at 470 km (WLTP cycle).

According to Jaguar, the revised I-PACE is already available in Portugal, with prices starting at 81.788 euros.
