Whether it's a utility vehicle or a super sports car, when choosing the ideal car, warranty and maintenance are always one of the aspects that weigh in the final decision. In supersports in particular, the simple maintenance or replacement of parts can cost the equivalent of what many would pay for a new car.
To facilitate the maintenance of each of the models coming out of the Maranello factory, Ferrari created the New Power15 , a new warranty extension program. From now on, each new cavallino rampante can be covered by a 15-year warranty, which starts from the moment the car is registered.
In 2014, Ferrari became the first brand in the world to offer a warranty of up to 12 years (five years full factory warranty plus seven years free maintenance). The new program extends it for another three years, and covers most mechanical components – including the engine, gearbox, suspension or steering.
The New Power15 program is not only available for new models but also for used ones, as long as the annual warranty has not been activated and approved after a technical inspection of the car. And even if the original owner wants to sell their car, the warranty can be transferred to the new owner.
Although most Ferrari model owners don't cover large kilometers, which could even minimize wear and tear, this program (the price of which has not been revealed) helps to eliminate the psychological obstacle of keeping cars of this gauge. There are no longer any excuses not to buy a Ferrari. Or better yet, maybe there is… ?
