The Renault Clio RS 220 Trophy took the cup at the Nürburgring circuit for being the fastest in its segment. There is no German to intimidate you.

The small Renault Clio RS 220 Trophy set the record (in its segment, of course) at the Nürburgring circuit in just 8:32 minutes, ahead of the Mini Cooper JCW who clocked 8:35 minutes. In third place is the Opel Corsa OPC with 8:40 minutes. The Audi S1 is in last place, taking 8:41 minutes to complete the circuit. All tests were carried out by journalist Christian Gebhardt of Sport Auto.

Unveiled in March, at the Geneva Motor Show, the Renault Clio RS 220 Trophy is presented with a 1.6 liter turbo gasoline engine with 220hp and 260Nm of torque (which can receive a boost that makes it reach 280Nm). The Clio RS 220 Trophy has an improved automatic gearbox compared to its predecessor, which makes gear changes faster: 40% faster in Normal mode and 50% faster in Sport mode.
