THE Bridgestone Rally / First Stop Guard 2018 is a special test, as it puts professionals from the automotive world face to face — from journalists, to drivers, ex-pilots and representatives of car brands, etc… — consisting of a test of maneuverability.
This year's competition has 45 teams and a total of 120 people and starts on the 29th of June, extending over the weekend until the 1st of July. The maneuverability test is scheduled for 17:00 on Saturday, June 30, next to the municipal market.
But the event, once again organized by Clube Escape Livre, has more points of interest. Participants and guests will have the opportunity to take a tour of the councils of Guarda and Pinhel, showing the village of Cidadelhe and the Municipal Museum of Pinhel. There will also be wine tastings from the region, in collaboration with the Regional Wine Commission of Beira Interior, games and demonstrations of the brands.
On Sunday, July 1st, there will be a commemorative program for the 5th Anniversary of the Time Capsule 2050 Guard at the Keep and Auditorium of IPG at Rua Soeiro Viegas, from 10:30 am. There will also be the inauguration of a sculpture with the Swiss ROAMER watch brand.
The Automobile Reason will be there
It is not the first time that Razão Automóvel travels to Guarda to participate in the rally — and as in the past, there will be much to tell, like what happened in 2015, when we made Lisboa-Guarda at the wheel of a Honda S800 of 1968 — not for everyone.
