In this "car cemetery" in China, there is no shortage of sporty and luxury models

In Hangzhou, a Chinese city about 180 km southwest of Shanghai, there is a land full of confiscated cars, a kind of car graveyard, where you can find various luxury and performance models among them.

It's not the first time that we've come across scenarios similar to this one, whether they are “graveyards” of abandoned cars on any land, or “luxury” junkyards in the city of Dubai.

This improvised cemetery is in a forested area and you can see that some of these cars have been there for a long time, considering that the vegetation “swallowed” many of them…

The Geely UnCut channel, identified as the “unofficial official vlog (video blog)” of Geely, a Chinese car brand and the name of the car group that owns the Swedish Volvo, offers us, in a short visit, some of the most special residents of this car graveyard.

According to the channel, most of the cars we see were confiscated by authorities. In many places we see these confiscated vehicles being sold at auction or public auction, or even being reused by the authorities, but in this case, it looks like they were simply abandoned, left to rot.

In the short visit, highlighted, we see a Chevrolet Corvette C7 (previous generation, the C8), a rare model to see on Chinese roads. At his side rests (in peace) a Porsche Panamera Turbo that was confiscated by the police in late April 2020.

We quickly moved on to a 2010 Audi R8 V8, the model that seems to be around the longest — already serves as “home” for some plants —; and by a Can Am ATV.

Then, we came across an Aston Martin Vantage Volante S (launched in 2011), also already half camouflaged by vegetation. Finally, we end this short visit with a 2005 Bentley Continental Flying Spur W12, the four-door “sister” to the Continental GT.

Wouldn't it be more profitable to sell them at auction than to leave them to rot in a car cemetery? Surely someone would take better care of these cars.
