long awaited, the Mercedes-Benz GLA is the protagonist of the latest teaser unveiled by the Stuttgart brand, thus anticipating the presentation of the model, scheduled for December 11th.
Speaking of the presentation of the new GLA, this marks a debut at Mercedes-Benz, as it will be exclusively online (similar to what Volvo did with the XC40 Recharge).
Therefore, Mercedes-Benz will present the new GLA through the communication platform “Mercedes me media”, in a measure that the brand claims to be representative of its corporate transformation.
What is already known about the Mercedes-Benz GLA
For now, information about the new GLA is, as might be expected, sparse. Even so, it is known that the model will use the MFA 2 platform (the same as the Class A, Class B and CLA) and the MBUX system.

Under the bonnet, of course, the future competitor of the BMW X2 can be expected to resort to the same engines used by the A-Class. Will these also include those used by the more powerful A 35 and A 45 — a GLA with more than 400 hp? Count on it.
With regard to the images released by Mercedes-Benz (both the teaser and the “spy photos” of the prototypes being tested) there is a noticeable increase in height compared to its predecessor, with Mercedes-Benz claiming that the new GLA it will be about 10 cm taller than its predecessor (which measures 1.49 m tall).
Despite growing in height, the new Mercedes-Benz GLA will be slightly shorter than the model it will replace (less 1.5 cm in length). Taking into account that the predecessor measured almost 4.42 m, the new GLA should be around 4.40 m.
