Renovated Renault Koleos is cheaper by €10,000 in Portugal

Two years after the launch of the second generation of koleos , Renault felt it was time to revamp the biggest of its SUVs. This renovation brought it new engines, a revised aesthetic, more technology and… a drop in price.

But let's start with the aesthetic. In this chapter, Koleos has received a new front grille, more chrome, redesigned underguards, standard LED headlamps across the range and new alloy wheels.

Inside, among the novelties of the Renault SUV, we highlight the improvement in terms of the materials used, the refrigerated, heated and massaged front seats and also the fact that the infotainment system now has the Apple CarPlay system. As an option, Koleos can also receive a Bose sound system.

Engines

Equipping the renewed Koleos are two new diesel engines, one 1.7 l with 150 hp and 340 Nm and a 2.0 l with 190 hp and 380 Nm . Both appear coupled to the X-Tronic automatic gearbox (the CVT gearbox developed by Nissan).

When equipped with the 1.7 l (known as the Blue dCi 150 X-Tronic), the Koleos has only front wheel drive. When it comes with the 2.0 l (designated Blue dCi 190 X-Tronic) the Gallic SUV is only available with all-wheel drive.

Inside the changes are practically imperceptible.

How much does the new Koleos cost?

As far as tolls are concerned, when equipped with Via Verde, the front-wheel drive version pays only Class 1.

Regarding prices, the big news is the sharp drop in the value of access to the Koleos range — a significant 10,000 euros. The reason is due to the introduction of the 1.7 Blue dCi engine, with a lower capacity than the previous 2.0, positioning itself in a less penalizing tax bracket.
