Originally scheduled for June 13th and 14th, the biggest car endurance event has been postponed to September 19th and 20th.
The decision to postpone the race comes in response to the coronavirus and was announced this Wednesday in a statement issued by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, the entity responsible for the race.
This one can read that the decision to postpone the 24 Hours of Le Mans was taken "taking into account the latest government directives and the constantly changing situation driven by the coronavirus".
The postponement of the 24 Hours of Le Mans will force a rescheduling of the entire endurance world championship and the ELMS (European Le Mans Series).

About this, Pierre Fillon, president of the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, stated that in the next few days the new dates for the tests will be announced.
