Born in China, the Wey Tank 300 he's the latest rival to the newly introduced Ford Bronco and iconic Jeep Wrangler, and while he can't be blamed for lack of personality, the inspiration seems clear.
However, unlike the BAIC BJ80 that looks like a clone of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, the Wey Tank 300 managed to avoid excessive similarities with other models. Still, it's impossible to deny the similarities between the headlights of all-terrain Chinese and those we can see on the new Ford Bronco, for example.
Where the Tank 300 (yes, that's its official name) can be “accused” of some lack of originality is in the interior. After all, both the design of the ventilation ducts and the entire look of the dashboard “pays copyright” to Mercedes-Benz.
What else is known?
For now, Wey has revealed little more than the Tank 300's exterior and interior, keeping in the “secret of the Gods” most of the technical data of its new model.

Still, it is known that this one will resort to the chassis of spars and crossmembers — or was it not a “pure and hard” — already used by his cousin Haval H9 (Wey is one of the brands of the Chinese giant Great Wall), he will tell with locks on the front, center and rear differentials and nine driving modes (mostly for off-road).
As for engines, if the Tank 300 has the same thrusters used by its “cousin”, then it will come equipped with a four-cylinder gasoline engine with 2.0 l turbo and 225 hp and a diesel engine with 190 hp.
