Mercedes produces «aerospace» board for Garrett McNamara

Anonim

After a board made from Portuguese cork, Garrett McNamara has just launched a board produced on the basis of high-density foam used in aircraft wings on the giant waves of Nazaré.

This new weapon in McNamara's arsenal to face the Nazaré Cannon is the latest chapter in a year that the MBoard Project has embarked on a search for innovative materials capable of being used in the production of town in boards, developed especially for Garrett and to the waves of Nazaré. Garrett's new board uses technologies that allow a perfect distribution of weight, rigidity and flexibility of materials.

Garrett McNamara has already tested his new board in sessions held on December 11th and 12th, at Praia do Norte, Nazaré. On this occasion, the American surfer praised the technology of the new black arrow, given the great flexibility that this material allowed to obtain in order to give a greater capacity to absorb the vibrations caused at more than 60km/h on the great waves of Nazaré.

The MBoard project has been developed by Mercedes-Benz Portugal, BBDO and Nazaré Qualifica.
