Lotus Exige Sport 350 Roadster: lightness starts here

The British sports car manufacturer is taking advantage of (and in what way!) this year's Geneva Motor Show by introducing its second novelty, the Lotus Exige Sport 350 Roadster.

Like the Lotus Evora Sport 410 – also presented at the Geneva Motor Show – the Lotus Exige Sport 350 Roadster also benefits from an increase in power and a reduction in weight. This last aspect has been achieved in large part thanks to the use of lighter components in various sections such as the engine mounts, battery, trunk and wheels. This version also has the Carbon Aero Pack that includes a rear wing and front and rear diffuser in carbon fiber. With all this “diet” the Lotus Exige Sport 350 Roadster weighs just 1084 kg.

The performance of this small sports convertible is in charge of the same engine present in the Evora Sport 410. A 3.5 liter V6 engine aided by a compressor, accompanied by a completely revised 6-speed manual gearbox for this model. The entire set is capable of delivering a mighty 345hp of power and 399Nm of maximum torque. The speedometer hits the 100 km/h mark in just 3.7 seconds before reaching a top speed of 241 km/h.

As an option, Lotus offers for this model an automatic gearbox with paddles on the steering wheel.
