Forget about electrical outlets, for Nissan the future is wireless

Nissan has released the first images of its future recharging station.

Developed in partnership with the architectural firm Foster + Partners, the Nissan battery charging station could represent one of the aspects of the future of electric mobility. No wires, no hassle, no nothing. Fully wireless.

Technical specifications have yet to be advanced, but Nissan has suggested that the gas station of the future is an evolution of the 7kW wireless charging device announced last month. According to the brand, this technology can recharge a 60 kW battery, for a total of 500km of autonomy.

“The world around us is changing, and we find this tremendously exciting. With the rise of connected cities, there will be the ability to supply in the very fabric of our daily lives. An independent infrastructure can be a thing of the past.”, words from the Director General of Advanced Product Strategy at Nissan Europe.
