Revealed a few months ago and even already tested (still as a prototype) by us, the Peugeot 308 SW now arrives on the national market and is already available for order.
As usual, the differences between the 308 SW van and the car (hatchback) that we can already buy in our country appear in the rear section and, of course, in the dimensions.
Based on the EMP2 platform, the Peugeot 308 SW saw the wheelbase grow by 55 mm (measures 2.732 m) compared to the 308, while the total length rises to 4.64 m (against the 4.37 m of the saloon).
All of this allowed Peugeot to offer its van a luggage compartment with an expressive 608 liters of capacity that can be increased by folding the second row of seats into three sections (40/20/40).
The 308 SW Engines
Starting with the petrol engines, the offer is based on the 1.2 PureTech three-cylinder engine with two power levels: 110 hp (exclusively associated with a six-speed manual transmission) and 130 hp (also available with an eight-speed automatic transmission).
As for the Diesel offer, it is based on the 1.5 BlueHDi in the 130 hp variant with a manual gearbox with six gears or an automatic gearbox with eight.
Finally, the plug-in hybrid versions both feature a battery with a 12.4 kWh capacity and two power levels. The base version has 180 hp of maximum combined power and offers up to 60 km of electric range and the most powerful one offers 225 hp of maximum combined power and up to 59 km of range.

Peugeot 308 SW prices
The new 308 SW will be available in five different versions: Active Pack, Allure, Allure Pack, GT and GT Pack. Now available for order, the new Peugeot 308 SW has its commercial launch in Portugal scheduled for the end of the first quarter of 2022.
As with the hatchback, in this case too, several financing modalities are available. For private customers, monthly rents start at 205 euros (for the 308 SW Active Pack with 1.2 PureTech 110) or 385 euros (for the 308 SW Active Pack Hybrid 180 hp). In both cases, the initial entry is €4990 and the contract has a duration of 48 months/60,000 km.
For companies, Free2Move Lease financing (48 months/60 000 km) allows for a 308 SW Active Pack 1.5 BlueHDi 130 hp with manual gearbox for the same monthly price as the 308 SW HYBRID Active Pack 180 hp: 420 euros, with the latter to benefit from VAT deduction.
