Presented to the public at the Paris Salon, the Kia ProCeed arrives on the national market to occupy the place left vacant in the Ceed range by the three-door version. Using the formula initiated by Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake, Kia ProCeed was created with the objective of increasing the appeal and perception of consumers of Kia products.
To this end, Kia bet heavily on aesthetics, with the ProCeed boasting a sportier look, wider and shorter than the other models in the Ceed range. Note also that ProCeed only shares the hood and front air deflectors with the five-door version of the Ceed , all other panels being new.
At the front, the highlight goes to the adoption of wider air intakes and the already traditional Kia grille. At the rear, the black spoiler, the double exhausts and the diffuser turn out to be the biggest draws.
Four engines, only one Diesel
For now, Kia ProCeed will only have two versions: the GT Line and the GT. In the GT version, the Kia ProCeed has only one engine, the 1.6l, 204 hp and 265 Nm in-line four cylinders already used in the Kia Ceed GT, and this engine can be associated with the six-speed manual gearbox or the seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (7DCT).

In the case of the GT Line version, the offer of engines starts with the 1.0 T-GDI of 120 hp and 172 Nm (always associated with the six-speed manual gearbox), passing by the 1.4 T-GDI of 140 hp and 242 Nm (which it can be combined with the 7DCT box) up to the only diesel engine available, the 1.6 CRDI Smartstream, with 136 hp and 280 Nm (320 Nm when equipped with the 7DCT transmission).
Equipment is not lacking
As standard, the Kia ProCeed GT Line has equipment such as sports seats in leather and Alcantara, full LED headlamps, 17" wheels, navigation system with 8" screen, rear parking camera, wireless phone charger, electric opening of the tailgate or the smart key.
Compared to the GT Line, the GT adds equipment such as the 18” wheels, the front seats with electrical adjustment and memory or the ADAS safety pack, in addition to version-specific finishes.
In terms of safety and driving assistance systems, ProCeed has as standard systems such as high beam assistant, driver attention warning or lane maintenance assistance with assistance for preventing frontal collisions. .
Equipment such as the adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go, the collision warning from the blind spot, the intelligent parking aid system, the rear collision hazard alert and the pedestrian recognition function for the system Front-end collision avoidance assistance is available as an option.
How much does it cost?
Next weekend (January 26 and 27) the Kia dealer network will open its doors to make Kia ProCeed known to the Portuguese public. As usual for the South Korean brand, the new shooting brake will have a warranty of 7 years or 150 thousand kilometers.
In the launch phase of ProCeed, the Kia also offers a discount to those who use brand financing (4650 euros for petrol engines and 5300 euros for diesel).
