Once again, from 16 to 22 September, the European Mobility Week will take place. An initiative that aims to raise awareness of problems related to excessive car use.

Celebrating its 14th anniversary, the European Mobility Week initiative has the participation of thousands of European cities (1670 cities) and highlights multimodality, encouraging citizens to reflect on their decisions in choosing public transport to the detriment of private vehicles .

This year's theme – CHOOSE. CHANGE. MATCH. – alerts citizens to the benefits of using public transport, such as saving money in car parks, sustainable mobility, improving health and helping the environment.

Associated with this initiative is the “Bike to Work”, which challenges companies based in the municipality of Lisbon to encourage their employees to go by bicycle to the workplace on the European Car Free Day.
