Scheduled for next summer, the Hyundai i30 N-Line it follows in the footsteps of the i30 N, also presenting itself with a sportier posture. Although, in this case, its positioning is not so extreme, it will stand out for the fact that it exhibits several details that, aesthetically, bring it closer to the more powerful “brother”.
Among these, and according to some spy photos already published, are the 18” wheels, bumpers with a more aggressive appearance, as well as red exterior details, such as those already on the i30 N. With the same principle manifesting itself in the interior, although without the guarantee of the presence of sports seats identical to those of the hardcore version.
In the technical chapter, Hyundai should carry out some adjustments to the chassis of this N-Line version, in order to guarantee sportier sensations, which should also result in lower ground clearance. Since, for even greater efficiency, this i30 should change the tires of the standard version, for a Michelin Pilot Sport 4.
Established at the Nürburgring
Purified, like the i30 N, on the Nürburgring circuit, where the South Korean brand has a test centre, the i30 N-Line will not only benefit from the experience of the German Albert Biermann, head of N, the performance department of the Hyundai, but also those that are the engines used by the more “civilized” versions — 1.0 and 1.4 gasoline, in addition to 1.6 diesel.
However, the possibility of being able to count on other, more powerful propellants has not been totally ruled out either.
Hatchback… and Fastback
Once again like the i30 N, the N-Line version will appear on the market with two types of bodywork, Hatchback (two volumes) and Fastback (two and a half volumes), also as a way to allow Hyundai to conquer a greater share in the segment from the compact family of sporting aspirations. Where, moreover, proposals such as the Ford Focus ST-Line are already growing.
