A teaser of the Volkswagen Polo R WRC 2017 has just been presented, the weapon with which the German brand hopes to revalidate the title of manufacturers and drivers of the WRC.
Following the FIA's decision to change the regulations for the 2017 World Rally, Volkswagen immediately started work on the Polo R WRC for next year's season. In addition to the new graphics, the new Volkswagen Polo R WRC has increased power to 380hp (60hp more than its predecessor), is 25kg lighter and has a larger rear wing, capable of generating more downforce and less aerodynamic drag. A slight 50mm increase in width and a more foreshadowing front spoiler are also on the list of new features for 2017.
According to Jost Capito, director of VW Motorsport, the Volkswagen Polo R WRC that we see in the image may still undergo some changes until next year.
Until then, the current Polo will face the 4th race of the world rally, which will take place between April 21 and 24, during the Rally in Argentina.
