The sad end of three copies of the Marussia B1

The images of these three Marussias completely abandoned can shock the most sensitive.

With more or less history, it is always sad to see a company go out of business. The workers who are left without a job, the plans that are left unfulfilled, the ideas that are left unfulfilled. Anyway… it's sad. Sad is also the fate of the spoils of bankruptcies and abrupt closures.

To Marussia, a Russian manufacturer who came to be present in Formula 1 with his own team, all this happened. With the closure of the factory and the main sales stand, three copies of the Marussia B1 were left behind in the brand's premises. Remember that when it was launched in 2009, the Marussia B1 was equipped with a 2.8 liter V6 turbo engine from Cosworth of 360 or 420 hp, depending on the version.

Before closing, the Russian brand even presented the successor to the B1. It was called Marussia B2 and assumed to be an evolution of the first Russian supercar. Unfortunately, fate (and creditors, and banks and perhaps the Russian tax authorities…) wanted Marussia not to open doors again.

The images accompanying this article are almost a year old, but it is believed that the B1 specimens still lie in the same place, awaiting better days.
