The 67th Frankfurt Motor Show starts this week and will take place under the motto “The Future Now”. This year's edition is dedicated to automobile transformation in its aspects: digitization, electric driving, autonomous driving, network driving, urban mobility and mobile service.

Some brands will broadcast their presentations live to the world. The premieres at the Germanic salon start today (September 11) at 6 pm (Lisbon time).

Volkswagen Group Preview Night – September 11 at 6pm

The news of the Volkswagen Group brands will be presented exclusively on the night of September 11th. The main news from the 'German giant' will be displayed and we will learn more about the mobility challenges of today and tomorrow – increasing digitization, connectivity, electrification and autonomous vehicles will have profound effects on the automobile.

Mercedes-Benz Media Night – September 11 at 6:30 pm.

The highlight of Mercedes-Benz Media Night goes to the most awaited revelation of the brand. AMG celebrates 50 years and is there a better present than the Mercedes-AMG “Project ONE”? The brand's first hypersports vehicle integrates, in an almost direct way, the hybrid technology that we can see in its Formula 1 cars. And that will set the tone for the topic of the growing electrification of Mercedes-Benz.

Mercedes-Benz Cars Press Conference – September 12th at 8:35 am.

Three revelations show the brand's vision for future Mercedes-Benz models. The EQA concept (100% electric) is the brand's first compact electric. The new GLC F CELL EQ Power is a plug-in fuel cell (hydrogen) hybrid, which allows it greater autonomy and reduced fueling times combined with zero emissions.

World premiere also for smart vision EQ, which is the first model of the group to comprehensively integrate its strategy based on four pillars for the future CASE, namely, "Connected", "Autonomous", “Shared” and “Electric” (electric).

The X-Class pick-up and the facelift of the renewed S-Class including the coupé and cabriolet will also be presented.

Volkswagen – September 12th at 9:30 am.

Volkswagen I.D. Crozz: the new concept is another chapter in Volkswagen's strategy for its future range of electric models. The goal is to sell one million electric vehicles a year by the middle of the next decade. The new Polo will be presented to the general public, as will the T-Roc, Autoeuropa's SUV.

BMW and MINI – September 12th at 7:30 am – 8:00 am.

MINI will present two new concepts: the Mini Electric concept, which anticipates its new electric car for 2019; and the John Cooper Works GP, which anticipates a future sports version.

The double kidney brand will unveil the BMW i3s in electric cars, a sportier version of the renewed i3, and in the opposite field, the latest chapter of the M5 saga (with 600hp)! will also be on display.

The brand's SUVs – or SAV, according to BMW -, will be reinforced with the new X2, the third generation of the BMW X3 and we will get to know the X7 concept, the brand's unprecedented proposal for a future SUV with six or seven seats. New are also the Serie 6 GT and a roadster version of the i8.

Opel – September 12 at 8:10 am – 8:25 am.

Opel will unveil three new models at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The highlight goes to the new Opel Grandland X, the third element in the brand's crossover/SUV family, developed before the acquisition of Opel by PSA. The remaining innovations refer to the two variants of the Insignia, the current top of the range from Opel: the Insignia GSi and the Insignia Country Tourer.

Audi – September 12th at 9:45 am.

Audi will present the fourth generation of the Audi A8 (D5 generation) based on the latest evolution of the MLB platform and will unveil a concept linked to the brand's mobility in the future. Audi Sport will also bring two new proposals to Frankfurt: an R8 with only rear-wheel drive and the Audi RS4.

Skoda – September 12th at 11:00 am.

The big news from the Czech brand is the presentation of the Karoq, the SUV that will replace the Yeti. In addition to the Karoq, Skoda will also have a revised version of the Vision E, a concept that anticipates not only the brand's electric future, but also a possible Kodiaq “coupé”.

Lamborghini – September 12th at 10:15 am.

Are we going to see the unveiling of the brand's second SUV, the new Lamborghini Urus? The presence of the new Aventador S Roadster is guaranteed.

Porsche – September 12th at 10:30 am.

Hyundai – September 12th at 11:55 am.

There are three Hyundai novelties at the Frankfurt Motor Show and we already know two: the Hyundai i30N, the first creation of Hyundai's N Performance department; the new Hyundai Kauai, the fourth member of the SUV family; and the Hyundai i30 Fastback the new five-door “coupé”.
