This is Volkswagen Amarok's answer to the Mercedes-Benz X-Class

Volkswagen will present two new concept versions of the Amarok pick-up at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The new Amarok Aventura Exclusive and Amarok Dark Label receive the new top-of-the-range 3.0 TDI V6 engine, with more power and torque in these versions. Launch is scheduled for spring 2018.

The new Amarok Adventure Exclusive concept shows the future of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. This concept is presented in Turmeric Yellow Metallic, the yellow we know from models like the new Volkswagen Arteon and Volkswagen Golf. It is equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission and permanent all-wheel drive, and power has been increased to 258 hp and over 550 Nm of torque.

This double-cab Amarok is equipped with 19-inch Milford wheels, the side bars, the bar mounted on the load box, the front shield, the mirrors and the rear bumper are all chromed. This version also receives bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights that give it a sportier appearance.

It also has a closed, waterproof roofing system that will be available for the first time in aluminum. The side protections are also in aluminium. The ParkPilot system, rear view camera and the possibility of 100% differential lock in off-road mode were also included in this version.

The Amarok Aventura Exclusive concept has a sportier interior with black leather seats with contrasting Curcuma Yellow stitching. It is also equipped with ergoComfort adjustable seats, a leather steering wheel with paddles and the Discover Media navigation system. The new roof lining matches the titanium black interior.

Amarok Dark Label

The new limited edition Amarok Dark Label it is based on the Amarok Comfortline equipment line and the exterior is painted in Indium Gray matt. It features dark-toned additions like black sill tubes, a matte black cargo box styling bar, lacquered chrome lines on the front grille and 18-inch Rawson alloy wheels in gloss anthracite.

This special edition is aimed at those who like design but don't want to sacrifice the advantages of a true off-road vehicle. The door handles are in matte black, as are the mirrors and to complete the style, it has the Dark Label logo engraved on the lower part of the door. Inside, the ceiling lining and rugs are in black, embroidered with the Dark Label logo.

At Amarok Black Label, two power levels will be available for the 3.0 TDI V6 engine. A version with 163 hp, 6-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive; and a 204 hp version with a six-speed manual transmission or an 8-speed automatic transmission and 4MOTION all-wheel drive system.

At 5.25 meters long and 2.23 meters wide (including the mirrors), Amarok has a towing capacity of up to 3500 kg.
