Startech adds visual impact to Maserati Levante

Startech will unveil its style program dedicated to the Maserati Levante in Geneva. Power kits for the Italian SUV are also being prepared.

The Maserati Levante received the attention of the Startech preparer, a company integrated in the Brabus group. Despite being one of the most distinct SUVs on the market, the preparer wanted to enhance its visual impact, with new exterior and interior additions.

The installation of the new external components is facilitated by using the same anchorage points as the production car. As can be seen, the SUV of the trident brand gains new lower sections on the bumpers. At the front we find a new spoiler, and at the rear, the new section integrates the exhausts in a distinct way and adds an aerodynamic diffuser. As an option, these components can be made of carbon fiber.

This kit doesn't just fill the eye, according to Startech. The design of the various components was optimized in the wind tunnel. Proof of this is the C-Blades added to the rear window. The aim is to reduce turbulence at the rear by better separating the air from the body when it reaches the end of the body. Startech blades are larger and have a different design compared to the originals. The result? This kit offers greater aerodynamic stability at high speeds and increases negative lift on the front axle.

NOT TO BE MISSED: Special. The big news at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show

Predictably, Startech's Maserati Levante brings a set of exclusive wheels and large dimensions. The rims are 21 inches in diameter (9.5″ wide at the front and 10.5″ at the rear) and fit 265/40 ZR 21 tires at the front and 295/35R 21 at the rear. Called Startech Monostar M, they also feature a wheel hub cover that simulates a single central clamping nut.

The interior also received Startech's attention, with a new set of aluminum pedals and footrests, in addition to the thresholds that integrate the illuminated Startech logo. Carbon fiber was also used to create elements for the instrument panel, center console and door panels. Alternatively, wood can be the material chosen for the same function, with different colors, grains and finishes.

For those who want to marry look and performance will have to wait a little longer. Startech will make changes available for both the petrol V6 and the Diesel V6 from Levante. In the case of the petrol V6, we can also expect a sport exhaust, which will certainly add new timbres to the soundtrack.
