After six years on the market, the Mini Countryman finally meets its successor. New look, new engines and proportions less and less «mini» and more «maxi».
Mini has just presented the first images of the Mini Countryman 2017, a model that has its world premiere scheduled for the Los Angeles Salon, in the month of November.NOT TO BE MISSED: Audi proposes A4 2.0 TDI 150hp for €295/month
The design doesn't stray too far from the first generation, however the evolutions in this field are more than notorious – namely with regard to the luminous signature. The use of black plastics and elements from all terrain reinforce its adventurous image. As for the dimensions, the model grew in every way to increase the habitability – one of the great criticisms of the English model in the generation that has now ceased to function.
Continuing inside, the brand's DNA is present in every detail, as you can see in the image (below) where the panel is dominated by a circular dial:
In terms of engines, in addition to the engines we already know from the Mini range, a plug-in hybrid version with 221 hp will also be launched (in a second phase). This model should arrive in Portugal in the second half of 2017.
