When you don't know the circuit and you go in with the "knife in the teeth"

We have to mourn the total loss of the Audi RS3 Sportback that you will see in this video. Besides, there is little else to regret other than the overconfidence of its owner.

This accident happened at Circuit Chimay in Belgium. A historic circuit that is crossed by public roads and has not received official competitions since 1972. Since then it has been converted into a venue for track-days and other motorized events − when the public roads that cross it are cut off.

Its layout is complex. The curve where this accident happened is preceded by a straight where it is easy to surpass 200 km/h. Naturally, 90º curves preceded by straights is the ideal recipe for an accident. Now add to these factors the lack of knowledge about the circuit.

Not even the best brakes in the world would save the “driver” of this Audi RS3 Sportback from this accident − perhaps the anchor of an oil tanker, and even then we are not sure. The result is in sight:

Total loss of the Audi RS3 and a big lesson: never exceed the limits without knowing the layout.
