Honda Jazz: The conquest of space

Anonim

The new Honda Jazz uses a new lighter and longer wheelbase platform for superior roominess and enhanced versatility. New 102 hp gasoline engine and consumption of 5.1 l/100 km.

The third generation of the Honda Jazz will be competing in the Essilor Car of the Year/Troféu Volante de Cristal 2016 contest with a series of arguments to be submitted for evaluation by the Jury.

The Japanese brand citizen uses Honda's new global platform for the B-segment, which allows him to increase versatility and space on board, as well as agility and efficiency, as the chassis and bodywork are lighter.

The exterior design was also subject to careful language and refinement, in order to preserve the original Jazz identity – a city dweller with the habitability and versatility of a small people carrier.

The cabin underwent a profound renovation, evident in the materials used, but also in the modularity and flexibility solutions, as evidenced by Honda's Magic Seats system (a system identical to the folding system used in cinema seats).

The wheelbase has also increased, which allows not only to offer greater shares of living space for the passengers in the rear seat, but also to refine their behavior on the road.

The versatility of Jazz also has one of its business cards in its luggage compartment. Carrying capacity ranges from 354 liters to 1,314 liters of capacity, with the seats fully folded down.

In addition to offering more space, modularity and build quality, the new Jazz does not neglect the comfort and entertainment component, embodied in the seven-inch touchscreen in the center of the dashboard and which serves as an interface for the new Honda Connect infotainement system, which offers internet access and real-time updates of information and traffic, weather and access to digital radio stations.

One of the important firsts in this new generation of Jazz is the new iVTEC 1.3 liter petrol block with 102 hp and announced consumption of 5.1 l/100 km, which is combined with a six-speed manual gearbox.

Another of the chapters that is not overlooked in the third generation of the Honda Jazz is that of auxiliary driving systems. Honda uses a mid-range camera and radar, encompassing a range of safety technologies that were introduced across Honda's range of new products in 2015.

The Honda Jazz also competes for the City of the Year award, where it faces competitors such as: Hyundai i20, Mazda2, Nissan Pulsar, Opel Karl and Skoda Fabia.
