Renault demands new rules for emission consumption tests

Carlos Ghosn, CEO of the French brand, guarantees that all manufacturers have cars with pollution levels above the limit.

In an interview with CNBC, Carlos Ghosn spoke about suspicions of fraud in polluting emissions, assuring that the brand's models do not have any type of electronic device that changes the values ​​during the tests. “All car manufacturers exceed the emission limit. The question is how far they are from the norm…” said Ghosn.

For the top person in charge of Renault, the recent suspicions and consequent fall of Renault's shares on the Stock Exchange is due to the lack of knowledge of what performances are in real driving. To avoid confusion, the responsible of the brand suggests new rules, equal for the entire industry and within what is acceptable to the authorities.
