Nissan believes that electric vehicles (EV) can also be good travel partners and traveled across Europe with the intention of demonstrating this.
The Japanese brand traveled memorable routes in Italy, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, the United Kingdom and France, behind the wheel of the Nissan LEAF (the world's best-selling electric vehicle with more than 184,000 units sold) and the e-NV200 van, also 100% to demonstrate that it is now possible to travel beyond the urban landscape behind the wheel of an EV. “Our drivers have conveyed to us that the LEAF is not just a car for urban travel,” said Jean-Pierre Diernaz, Director of Electric Vehicles, Nissan Europe. "We hope this example has inspired electric vehicle drivers and that they will continue to travel these scenic routes, enjoying scenic rural landscapes with the peace of mind of a Nissan zero-emission vehicle."
Later this year, the Renault-Nissan Alliance, the world leader in zero-emission mobility, will make a fleet of 200 all-electric vehicles available as an official supplier to COP21, the United Nations conference on climate change, taking place in Paris.
