Portugal is once again on the route of world presentations, and this time for one of the “heavyweights” in the industry: the new Volkswagen Golf.
A first static presentation of the new model already took place in Wolfsburg, Germany, where we were also present, but for the global presentation with dynamic contact, Volkswagen chose our country, based in the north, in the Douro region.
It is not the first time that the Volkswagen group has chosen Portugal and the Douro region for its presentations — it was also the chosen stage for the world presentation of the current generation of the Audi A6.
With the world presentation taking place here, Volkswagen did not miss the opportunity to show its new whooping experience against the backdrop of the city of Porto and its surroundings - for example, you can see the Boa Nova Chapel in Leça da Palmeira in the gallery below. Razão Automóvel is also already preparing its luggage to head to the north of the country to see all the features of the new Golf and, of course, drive it. Soon you will be able to find out everything about first impressions of driving.
The new Volkswagen Golf
Much has been said about the new Volkswagen Golf. We were present in its initial revelation, and among the highlights, a reference to the growing electrification of the model. Several mild-hybrid versions were introduced, as well as one more plug-in hybrid — there are now two Golf plug-in hybrids to choose from.

Interestingly, the e-Golf, the 100% electric version, is no longer part of the range, but it is understandable — the role of Volkswagen electric in the C segment will now be performed by the new ID.3 , also already revealed this year.
