Revealed five months ago after a long period of gestation, the 508 PSE (or 508 Peugeot Sport Engineered in its full name) is about to hit the national market.
The first product from Peugeot's new performance division, the 508 PSE can already be ordered in Portugal, with delivery of the first units scheduled for May.
As for prices, in the saloon variant the 508 PSE is available from 68 855 euros while the van version costs from 70 355 euros.
The 508 PSE numbers
As you well know, the 508 PSE has not one, not two, but three engines: one internal combustion, with four cylinders and 1.6 l capacity, turbo; and two electric motors, one mounted at the front (on the eight-speed automatic transmission or e-EAT8) and the other at the rear.

The combustion engine delivers 200 hp and the electric motors deliver, respectively, 110 hp (81 kW) in the case of the front engine and 113 hp (83 kW) in the case of the rear.
The end result is a combined maximum power of 360 hp and a torque of 520 Nm, figures that allow it to reach 100 km/h in 5.2s and 250 km/h of maximum speed (electronically limited) — never a Peugeot of road was as powerful as the 508 PSE.
As for the battery, it has 11.8 kWh and allows an autonomy in 100% electric mode of 46 km (WLTP cycle). Charging can be done in less than 7 hours from a domestic outlet; in 4 hours on a 16 amp socket and in less than 2 hours on a 32 amp wall box.
More “muscled”
With a sportier look, courtesy of lower ground clearance and extended tracks by 24 mm at the front and 12 mm at the rear, as well as the specific bumper and grille, the 508 PSE has a few more differences compared to its “brothers”. ”.
We are, of course, talking about improvements in terms of the braking system, which now features 380 mm diameter discs and fixed four-piston calipers at the front. To “hide” these discs come specific 20” wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres.
