Unveiled for the first time in the already distant year of 2010, the Audi A1, the premium city car, continues to be the entry point in the four-ring builder's offer. Whose second generation, now unveiled, intends to be "the ideal companion for an urban lifestyle".

Aesthetically more aggressive, also as a tribute to the iconic Audi Sport Quattro, the new A1 registers a substantial increase in length (+56 mm), to 4.03 m, while maintaining practically the same dimensions in terms of width (1 .74 m) and height (1.41 m).

Marked by elements such as the larger Single Frame front grille, headlamps with a new luminous identity — optionally in LED — and a more sculpted bonnet, the same happening on the sides, which also feature wheels with dimensions between 15 and 18″ , the new city dweller will also have greater customization solutions. Among which the S Line kit — synonymous with larger front air intakes, side skirts and a more imposing rear spoiler — and the possibility to opt for two-tone exterior paintwork.

Inside the cabin, an evolution in general quality, combined with a new design, underlined by options such as the 10.25” digital instrument panel, a multifunction steering wheel and two air vents, integrated in a niche running the entire width of the space. on the dashboard in front of the passenger.

Available with three equipment lines — Basic, Advanced and S Line — each with its own dashboard decor and door handles.

Supported by the same MQB A0 platform that also serves as the basis for the Volkswagen Polo and SEAT Ibiza, the new A1 offers even more interior space and load capacity in the trunk, which now announces 335 l, or 1090 l, with the back of the folding rear seats.

As an option, the heated front sports seats, configurable ambient light — 30 colors to choose from —, MMI system with 8.8" touchscreen, MMI Navigation Plus with 10.1" screen and the Connectivity pack, synonymous with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, plus USB ports. Customers can also choose between two audio systems: the Audi Audio System with eight speakers, or the premium Bang & Olufsen system with 11 speakers.

For starters, three- and four-cylinder turbo engines

Under the bonnet, the possibility of having, from the first moment, TFSI turbo engines of three and four cylinders, among which, the well-known 1.0 l tricylinder, in addition to the four cylinders of 1.5 and 2.0 l. Although without going into details, Audi also reveals, in a statement, that the powers will range from 95 to 200 hp.
