Produced between 1984 and 1987, the Alfa Romeo 90 is the (almost) unknown predecessor of the Alfa Romeo 164 and the reason we talk to you about it today is because of its quirky extras.
Destined to compete in the always difficult segment of executive saloons (which at that time was still not almost exclusively dominated by German models), the Alfa Romeo 90 had small peculiarities such as the speedometer and diagonal rev counter (its reading should have been nothing. easy) and a self-adjusting front spoiler.
However, the most curious extra of the Alfa Romeo 90 appeared in front of the “hangs”. Under the conventional glove box, the 90 offered an executive briefcase that had its own place where it would fit.

According to legend, the idea for this solution came after an Alfa Romeo executive took his briefcase over his head after braking more abruptly, it “flipped” from the hatbox.
