It is between the 5th and 11th of September that one of the most relevant surfing events held in our country will take place. The Azores Airlines Pro 2017, is part of the Surfing World Qualifying Circuit, and as the name indicates, it takes place in the Azorean archipelago, more precisely on the island of São Miguel.
The surfing world qualifying circuit will take place in Ribeira Grande, on the north coast of the island, and a large turnout is expected – more than six thousand spectators.
This year's edition of Azores Airlines Pro 2017 already features five Portuguese surfers: Vasco Ribeiro, Jácome Correia, Pedro Henrique, Tomás Fernandes and Miguel Blanco.
This important event will be sponsored by SEAT, with the Spanish brand being present at the event with the new SEAT Ibiza. No, we won't see the new Ibiza catch any waves, but the brand's new SUV will be the official car of the Azores Airlines Pro 2017.
As has happened in previous editions, the event will feature the presence of several public figures, courtesy of the Surf Trip organized by the Spanish brand.
